Established in 2005 TBD Communication Design originally drew only on the creative talents of its founding creative director Casper Schougaard. Within a year business had grown to such an extent that a senior designer was added to the firm in the form of Western Australian import Travis Farley. Casper and Travis have formed the constant core of TBD Communication Design providing a source of expertise and historical knowledge to our clients unmatched in the Townsville market. Recently Jarrad Wild joined the team to add exceptional new media design skills to TBD’s capabilities.

Background
When not sitting in his wingback armchair sipping whiskey and reading Moby Dick, Casper has managed to work in the communications industry for the past 14 years. Developing a keen interest in packaging messages, advertising and communication during his Bachelor of Business (Marketing) degree at the Queensland University of Technology, he started to pursue a career in communication design.
He worked freelance in the private sector providing graphic design services for a variety of clients in a variety of sectors including commercial and industrial businesses but found his niche as Publications Officer and subsequently Information Management Coordinator with the Queensland University of Technology.
In amongst that he also managed to complete undergraduate qualifications in Marketing and postgraduate qualifications in Publishing and Editing.
In search of a new challenge he travelled to Townsville in 2005 to establish what has become one of the premier corporate communication design agencies in the area.
Background
In between choosing what trousers to wear and manscaping, Travis has managed to work in the design industry for over nine years. He is a graduate of the Western Australian School of Art and has a penchant for illustrating. After completing his studies Travis was appointed as a graphic designer with Gold Corporation (The Perth Mint).
To further expand his skills and source of creative references, Travis moved to the UK and worked in a variety of roles for almost three years.
In addition to this he asserted his dominance over The Pint and honed his Zen-like skill of imperturbability from lining up at airports. He has freelanced extensively for clients both in Australia and the UK and continued to freelance when arriving in Townsville as a consequence of following love.
Travis joined TBD in January 2006 and has brought additional scope and creative skills to the studio.
Background
Jarrad is the puppy of the TBD crew but a gun at new media design and generally making things look swish.
Jarrad is a Townsville boy but travelled to Brisbane after accepting a place at the esteemed Shillington Design College. After graduating he worked in a variety of roles in Brisbane but returned to Townsville for… you guessed it… love.
Jarrad joined TBD in 2010 and continues to bring new visual impacts to TBD’s design projects.
